Problem in RAMConnection.
Problem inDisplay Card Connection
Problem inBIOS or RAM (BasicInput Output System)
Key BoardProblem (I.e.; Some Keyis pressed for Longertime)
Datacable to be connectedproperly (twisted cable). (FDD= Floppy Disk Drive)
HardDisk cable connectedwrongly. Connect rightlyseeing the Red mark(Faces power supply) and then Restart.
8. POWER LED IS OFF :-
a. Check main powercord
b. Check S.M.P.S.
c. Check Mother Boardconnection
d) Check Hard Diskparameters in CMOS orAuto detecting SettingPartitions by FdiskCommand, then formatit to set track 0.
12. MOTHER BOARDHANGS DUE TOUN-STABILIZED POWERSUPPLY :-
a) Check S.M.P.S
b) RAM not functioningproperly.
c) Software problem(due to using piratedsoftware)
d) CPU fan notfunctioning properly
13. DANCING SCREEN :-
a) Check Display cardconnection
b) Virus Problem
c) Video MemoryProblem
a) Earthing problem
b) Magnetic wavescomes around.
a) Check Earthing
b) Check main powercord.
a) Floppy Drive havingdifferent disk (Non-Bootable Disk) OR CMOSParameters for HardDisk may not be setproperly.
b) Hard Disk Partitionsmay not be created.
c) Hard Disk may not beformatted.
The Systemfiles missing namely Ie;command.com} - UserFile IO.SYS & MS_DOS.SYS } - Hidden Files.These above three filesrequired for Start up ofthe system that can betransferred by usingSYS C: Command ORWhile the time offormatting by usingFormat c:/u/s
May thefile Command.com iscorrupted OR Infectedby Virus OR Some onehas Erased it.
a) The type of Hard Diskin CMOS may not be setproperly.
b) Operating systemused for formatting isnot valid
a) May some Directoriesor Files crash with otherfiles.
b) Use CHKDSK/F orSCANDISK Command tocorrect it.
a) Unstabilized powersupply.
b) Check for LooseContact.
c) Do not use YConnectors for HardDisk.
d) It may create BadSector OR Weak HardDisk.
Check for Bad Sector byusing CHKDSK orSCANDISK Command. Iffound format the HardDisk and set Partitionbefore that area.(This isthe only procedure touse Hard Disk with BadSector) OR (To avoidBad Sectors useStandard Power Supply)
a) Check PowerConnector
b) Check Data Cables
c) Check Jumpers
OperatingSystem where the HardDisk formatted is notsupported with presentMother Board. For Eg:Hard Disk formattedwith Pentium Systemwill hide their partitionsfor 486 System.
May the abovefiles may be corrupteddue to power failure orVirus. Make availableabove files from otherComputer. OR Re-installWindows 98 OperatingSystem. (This procedurewill not make anyeffect on existing Data).
This will happendue to sudden ON/OFFof the system. Finalsolution is to ReinstallOperating System.
a) Configure Display Cardproperly with their CD.
b) The Standard settingfor Windows is set it to800x600 for betterperformance.
